I've been so touched by all your comments and emails to me on this - it was a hard post to write as I didn't want to sound smug. But I don't think we talk enough about the benefits of long term relationships or how we keep them alive. So, so true. Try and renegotiate for all you're worth. But only if both are ready to lean in.
If not, it may be your partner who needs changing, not your dreams.
