Something for the weekend - and some feedback from you all!
Oh and they have officially announced my book Much More to Come, published August 1st by Harper Collins globally
Dear Queenagers
Happy Friday!
Three things today
They announced my book Much More to Come at the London Book Fair yesterday. It will be published on August 1st and is now ready to pre-order - it’s the tale of my midlife clusterfuck and the stories of lots of other inspirational women (lots of you!) who have helped me through it. I want to offer all you lovely Paid Subscribers (who always get more…)
the chance to come to my friend Tiffanie Darke’s Sustainable Fashion Pop Up at Koko, in Camden Town, London, tomorrow, Saturday. Details are below the paywall after the Survey summary..
The future of NOON and the survey. Earlier this year we asked you to help us make 2024 the best year yet for Noon. Now we’ve got through our third birthday celebrations (and International Women’s Day I am on about event 10!) we are focussed on what we can do to fulfil our promise to make Noon a place where Queenagers feel seen, heard, celebrated, supported and inspired. And give us a better understanding of where and how you interact with our content, whether you join our events - on-line and in person - and what works best.
And that's what you did.
So I just wanted to write to thank each of you who took the time to fill in the survey we prepared. I can't tell you how much all the team at Noon appreciate your constructive, honest and thorough responses.
Your answers to our questions are really helping us as we plan the stories and social posts we want to share with you, the conversations and discussions that will best interest and support you, the events that will most inspire and inform you and the in-person experiences that will be the most memorable and accessible possible.
I thought you might like to know one or two of the things you told us.
You said that you find Noon positive, empowering, uplifting, honest and relevant. And that it's a place where you have found a community you really value (hurrah).
You gave us a wealth of invaluable insight into the subject areas that interest and concern you, which include - but certainly aren't restricted to - careers at midlife, working out what next after redundancy, maintaining long term relationships, mental health, parenting teenagers, sex and growing older with pride and grace.
You said you wanted more opportunities to join in Noon events when you live out of London and abroad (we're working particularly hard on this one. We hate anyone feeling left out so we are planning more online Noon Circles every month and some round the country walks), and you encouraged us to be as inclusive and accessible for women from all backgrounds and intersections.
And you endorsed us for our frankness, how we balance reality with reimagining, and the quality of the writing across our platforms.
Thank you again for giving us such invaluable insight to work with in order to keep building Noon and making sure it's somewhere you feel truly at home.
This year is going to be a big one for us as my book is coming out on August 1st and we have lots of exciting news and projects and a new core team. Jennifer Howze has rejoined Noon (she was our launch COO and CTO). She went off to run Netmums but we’ve wooed her back! And I am sure lots of you will be delighted to hear that Jackie Naghten (yes she of Wasing, Noon Circles and the ski trip) has joined us our new Managing Director. Jackie is a phenomenal business woman who worked for Arcadia, ran Coco de Mer and as a consultant for Venture Capital. We are really excited about what lies ahead for Noon and Queenagers! Do email us hello@inherspace.co.uk if you have any other suggestions!
Eleanor
