Noon Circle details for next week

Just a reminder for Paid Subscribers that our November Noon Circle will be taking place for the first time in person… hooray! We’ll do a link for the discussion to those who want to join online, too, (Zoom details are below) so don’t worry if getting to Soho, London is impossible.

Given that the frenzy of the Christmas season is beginning and that for so many of us it is massively triggering, I thought we might talk about Christmas and boundaries and getting through it. Ok, some of you may love it. But Christmas is also when any kinds of family issues flair up - if we’ve lost people, there is a hole. If we come from split families, it can be agony. Personally I dread it; not just all the organising, present wrapping, financial pressure etc, but because it was when I was saddest as a child.

Let’s all discuss it and think of some coping strategies… eg if you have to go and see relatives where it will be stressful, only stay for two days, not five…

There will also be some (unChristmasy) refreshments (yes that’ll be me with my wheel-along trolley coming back from the Marks and Sparks on Oxford Street with what my youngest daughter calls the ‘scran’).
