Queenager Careers: You are never too old and it is never too late...
Looking for a job? Check out our NOON Jobs Board for Midlife women
Dear Queenagers
There is nothing quite like the sound of 35 midlife women playing their hearts out on samba drums… the ecstatic joy which accompanied our recent drumming workshop during our Queenager retreat last month was glorious to behold. Being in flow, having fun, hanging out with others who really get us at this stage in life is what it is all about. And yes, maybe thinking about work isn’t quite as fun as banging drums in a raucous explosion of sound and joy but at this time in our lives we really can find employment that fits around OUR needs. That’s what this Queenager Careers newsletter is all about!
So if you are a #queenager, midlife woman looking either to get back into work or to change jobs then read on. Maybe you fancy a bit more fun at work (I can’t promise drumming…) or a job with a bit more meaning or purpose. Or perhaps like many of the #queenagers we see at noon.org.uk you need a bit more flexibility to deal with all the caring responsibilities that fall on us at midlife. Or you’ve got a hobby or passion project which is your main focus but you need to earn some money too.
The good news is that our platform NOON working with 55 Redefined has a dedicated NOON jobs board for women just like you. Which features gigs from age-inclusive employers who know how much flexibility matters and also the kind of work which is important to you. For instance have you ever thought about a career in advertising, digital media or marketing? This month we are featuring jobs from Dentsu which is the 5th largest advertising agency in the world. They're an age-inclusive company and if you're looking to return to or career change into media, advertising or marketing, Dentsu should be a company that you have on your radar.
They currently have opportunities for returners in Edinburgh, Manchester and London HERE.
